Fundamental principles of optics, such as wave and particle nature of light, diffraction, interference, etc.; principles of light interactions with biological matter; exploration of optics and photonics technology applied to agricultural research; provides exposure to state-of-the-art advanced optical and photonics technologies. Prerequisites: Graduate classification or approval of instructor.
