Grazing Management Principles and Planning

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. This course introduces the principles and practices of grazing management with a focus on developing adaptive, ecologically sound and economically viable grazing systems. Students will explore how timing, intensity, frequency and duration of grazing affect plant, soil and animal responses across different forage types and production contexts. Prerequisite: Graduate classification.
