Credits 3. 2 Lecture Hours. 2 Lab Hours. Shop safety, hand tools, print reading, proper use of shop measuring instruments, and machine terminology; use of basic machine tools – lathes, milling machines, bandsaw, bench grinders, drill press, brazing and hardening basics; importance placed on safety, housekeeping and proper shop technique. May be taken up to six hours for credit. Prerequisite: Graduate classification; or approval of instructor.
