Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Vector analysis methods with applications for advanced electricity and magnetism; tensor notation in classical mechanics and electricity and magnetism; linear algebra with applications for quantum mechanics; series expansions and accuracy of series approximations; Fourier series and transforms. Prerequisite: PHYS 221 and MATH 308 ; or approval of instructor.
