Catalog description

Credits 0-1. 0-1 Lecture Hours. The purpose of this course is to create a welcoming and affirming environment for new public health students. Through the course, students will develop self-efficacy, self-awareness and a sense of purpose while learning strategies for success both inside and outside the classroom. Topics include academic success skills and campus resources, wellness, Aggie traditions and core values, active engagement in and beyond the classroom, and social integration within the School of Public Health community. Must be taken on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis. Prerequisites: First-year and first-time-in-college public health student.
