Catalog description

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Philosophy challenges students to understand, articulate and evaluate arguments from multiple points of view. Students analyze multifaceted relationships between philosophy and literature. Class may include philosophical analysis of major recurrent themes in world literature as well as examination of what is philosophical about literature itself. Students may read works by philosophers in addition to novelists and essayists.
