Credits 6. 6 Other Hours. Preparation in treating patients in a general or specialized outpatient setting that are typically not seriously ill; focus on the medication management of specific diseases (such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, etc.) or the general care of patients with chronic conditions; utilization of problem-solving skills, patient medication counseling, therapeutic monitoring, as well as addressing interaction, side effects and compliance issues in the care of these patients. Prerequisite: P4 classification.
