Social-Behavioral Aspects of Patient Care

Credits 2. 2 Lecture Hours. This course focuses on behavioral change relative to public health, health education, preventive health, health promotion and pharmacological practice. The course utilizes historical and cross-cultural examples to examine medication-taking experiences and their influence on drug-taking behaviors. Integration of information from both pharmaceutical and social sciences allows for the exploration of how and why drugs are discovered and used. Offered: Spring semester. Prerequisite: P3 standing.
