Credits 2. 2 Lecture Hours. This course introduces the concepts of health outcomes research and pharmacoeconomic analysis and provides a basic framework to optimize health care resource allocation. Principles of measuring and analyzing costs and outcomes plus techniques used to evaluate them across drug treatments are discussed. The course reviews practice guidelines for pharmacoeconomic evaluation and describes conducting pharmacoeconomic research. Offered: Spring semester. Prerequisite: PHAR 756 and PHAR 778 .
