Sterile Products/IV Admixtures

Credit 1. 1 Lab Hour. This laboratory course introduces the standards for preparation of parenteral products and provides an opportunity for students to gain proficiency with calculating and compounding sterile formulations. It focuses on proper aseptic technique, preparation of intravenous admixtures, safe handling of cytotoxic and hazardous drugs, quality assurance, and labeling. Offered: Fall semester. Prerequisite: P2 standing.
