Catalog description

Credits 2. 2 Lecture Hours. This elective course will highlight the special medical needs and health issues that females face. The course will include a review of female anatomy and physiology. Common diseases and disorders, along with preventive and management strategies, will be covered. Psychological, social, and economic aspects of women's health will also be addressed. The course will follow the physiological and neurological aging processes in woman. Conception and psychosocial issues are two of the topics that will be covered in depth. Prerequisite: P2 standing.
