Catalog description

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. The second of a two-course series introduces students to the principles of biopharmaceutics and provides information on the theory, technology, formulation, evaluation, and dispensing of solid dosage forms and sterile products. The course additionally covers principles of controlled, targeted and self-regulated drug delivery systems. Fundamentals of cellular absorption of macromolecules and novel approaches for protein and gene delivery are also discussed. Offered: Fall semester. Prerequisite: P2 standing. Corequisite: PHAR 742 .
