Introduction to Patient Care

Credits 2. 2 Lecture Hours. This course introduces the concepts of caring for patients and pharmaceutical care. Emphasis is placed on ways of collecting, organizing and evaluating information for the purpose of rendering decisions that improve patient quality of life through the SOAP format of therapy review and basic clinical skills including pharmaceutical care plans. Offered: Fall semester. Prerequisite: Admission to Doctor of Pharmacy Program. Corequisite: PHAR 605 .
