Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Explore the wide range of clinical interventions in the professional practice of clinical psychology, with an emphasis on the application of third wave approaches, such as dialectical behavior therapy and motivational interviewing. Examine how these interventions are adapted for diverse populations including children, couples, families and groups. Engage with ethical, professional, multicultural and historical considerations that shape clinical practice. Strengthen the integration of current scientific literature with therapeutic techniques to support effective, culturally responsive care. Prerequisite: Enrollment in Clinical Psychology Graduate Program or approval of instructor.
