Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Build multicultural competence for clinical psychology research and practice through exploration of how culture, identity and lived experience relate to the practice of clinical psychology. Examine topics such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, social class, disability, systemic oppression and discrimination. Strengthen cultural humility and ethical awareness to support inclusive psychological care. Designed to align with American Psychological Association (APA) accreditation standards for training in cultural and individual diversity. Prerequisite: Graduate classification or approval of instructor.
