Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Develop essential scientific writing skills for psychological science, with a focus on producing high-quality manuscripts and competitive grant proposals. Learn to craft compelling research narratives, from empirical papers to funding applications. Explore the structure, strategy and conventions that shape successful scholarly communication, including topic selection, section development and interpretation of reviewer feedback. Strengthen writing for diverse academic outlets, gain insight into the peer-review and funding processes and refine your ability to communicate science with clarity and impact. Specific focus will vary by semester and instructor. Prerequisites: Graduate classification or approval of instructor.
