Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Develop foundational competencies for ethical and effective clinical practice as a scientist-practitioner. Engage with ethical decision-making in clinical practice and research contexts, learn foundational clinical interviewing and diagnostic techniques and apply skills for building and maintaining the therapeutic alliance in cognitive-behavioral therapy. Emphasize the integration of scientific evidence with clinical application to support accurate diagnosis and ethical treatment. Learning outcomes are aligned with the American Psychological Association Profession-Wide Competencies to prepare for professional roles in clinical psychology. Prerequisite: Graduate classification or approval of instructor.
