Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Explore the principles of behavior through the lens of behavioral psychology, including behaviorism, applied behavior analysis and behavior modification. Analyze how organisms learn and how these learning principles apply to human experiences. Examine foundational concepts such as reinforcement, punishment and stimulus control and evaluate their use in behavior therapy and real-world behavior change. Develop insight into how scientific methods are used to understand and influence behavior. Prerequisites: 9 hours of psychology; PBSI 107 ; junior or senior classification; PBSI 301 and PBSI 302 recommended.
