Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Identify the scientific foundations of personnel psychology and its application to workplace behavior and human resource practices. Compare and contrast psychological theories that explain individual differences and performance in organizational settings. Identify evidence-based approaches to job analysis, recruitment, selection, training, placement and performance evaluation. Critically evaluate research and practice to understand how psychological principles guide effective decision-making in personnel management. Prerequisites: PBSI 107 ; PBSI 245 , MATH 140 , MATH 168 , MATH 142 , MATH 147 , MATH 151 , MATH 171 , MATH 152 , MATH 148 , MATH 172 , MATH 150 , PHIL 240 or STAT 201 ; PBSI 301 and PBSI 302 recommended.
