Catalog description

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Survey the neuroscientific foundations of learning and memory in humans and nonhuman animals. Examine how cognitive and behavioral processes are integrated with neural mechanisms across multiple levels of analysis, from cellular biology to cognitive psychology. Explore topics such as synaptic plasticity, episodic memory and the neural basis of learning. Analyze empirical research and discoveries that inform applications in healthcare, education and artificial intelligence. Strengthen understanding of how brain systems support adaptive behavior and memory formation through interdisciplinary perspectives. Prerequisites: PBSI 235 , PBSI 340 , VIBS 277 or NRSC 277.
