Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Explore how thoughts, feelings and behaviors are shaped by the presence of others through the lens of social psychology. Investigate major theories and research on topics such as social perception, attitudes and persuasion, conformity, group dynamics, prejudice, cultural influences, self and identity, aggression, prosocial behavior and interpersonal relationships. Analyze the power of social situations and group processes in shaping individual behavior. Apply psychological frameworks to interpret personal experiences, social interactions and broader societal patterns. Evaluate empirical findings and consider diverse perspectives to gain insight into the complexity of human behavior in social contexts. Strengthen critical thinking while developing a deeper understanding of how individuals influence and are influenced by others. Prerequisite: PBSI 107 .
