Investigate human development from prenatal stages through childhood, emphasizing physical, cognitive and socioemotional growth. Analyze developmental change through the lenses of core psychological perspectives like biopsychology, learning, memory, personality, emotion and social psychology. Explore both typical and atypical development, including foundations for developmental disorders. Examine the interaction of biological and environmental factors that shape childhood outcomes. Strengthen skills in scientific reasoning, critical thinking and real-world application relevant to careers in education, healthcare, counseling and research.
