Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. (PSYC 2317) Introduction to Psychological Science Methods. Explore foundational research methods and statistical principles used in psychological and brain sciences. Investigate key topics such as research design, measurement, sampling, data collection, descriptive and inferential statistics, scientific communication and ethics. Examine the logic of the scientific method and the role of empirical evidence in understanding behavior and mental processes. Strengthen the ability to critically evaluate studies, interpret data and assess how findings are communicated across academic and applied settings. Build a strong foundation for advanced coursework and professional pathways in psychology, neuroscience, medicine, business and related fields.
