Investigation of the roles and responsibilities of the professional nurse; strategies for development of personal nursing identity and professional growth; responsibilities related to quality outcomes, population health, health promotion, and health advocacy using principles of epidemiology, current research and data sets to guide healthcare decisions; methods to address health equity, healthcare access, and quality issues. Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in NURS 332 and NURS 341 .
