Fluid mechanics for technologists; fluid properties; static fluid, fluid motion; incompressible flow in pipes; fluid losses; phases of fluids; laws of thermodynamics, ideal gas law; thermal resistances, heat transfer by conduction, internal convections, heat exchangers; applications in mechatronics systems. Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in MMET 275 and MXET 375 ; senior classification in multidisciplinary engineering technology.
