Credit 1. 2 Lab Hours. Advanced instruction in composition; the writing of small-form musical compositions; techniques for composing for instrumental, vocal, electronic, and mixed-media settings; emphasis on historical and theoretical aspects that relate to particular compositional practices and techniques. May be taken four times for credit. Prerequisites: Junior or senior classification; MUSC 245 ; or approval of instructor.
