Survey of thermodynamic and kinetic fundamentals of electrochemistry; multiscale materials corrosion mechanisms; details of interfacial aqueous electrochemical mechanisms and the environmental effects when materials are exposed to different conditions. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in MSEN 601 ; or approval of instructor.
