Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. This course is designed for Medical Sciences students seeking a foundation in biostatistics and epidemiology. The course covers key biostatistical topics such as data management, probability, statistical inference and regression analysis, alongside epidemiological concepts including causal inference, measures of disease frequency and effect, study design principles and the assessment of confounding and effect modification. This integrated approach ensures that students are well-versed in both the quantitative tools and the critical thinking required to understand and contribute to medical and scientific knowledge. Prerequisites: Graduate classification or approval of instructor.
