Credits 0 to 10. 0 to 10 Other Hours. 4-week elective; opportunity to experience and practice primary psychiatric care of patients under the close supervision of a senior staff physician; increase familiarity and knowledge with the use of psychoactive medications, gain further knowledge and experience in determination of individual patient treatment regimens, and gain experience in the interactions between patients, therapists and family members. Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of year three of the medical school curriculum.
