Enhancement of knowledge of state and federal laws that affect physicians’ medical practice; includes malpractice, consent, confidentiality, HIPPA compliance, business entities, contracts and regulatory matters; exposure to the legal issues, responsibilities and expectations associated with physicians in various practice settings; examination of legal and ethical issues that arise in the normal course of medical practice, hospital privileges and committee service.
