Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Principles of dynamic system modeling with emphasis on second order mechanical systems. Harmonic and nonharmonic vibrations of single and multi-degree of freedom systems. Impulse response function, response to arbitrary functions and periodic inputs. Vibration absorption and tuned mass dampers. Applications of computer simulation and analysis techniques in vibrations. Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in MEEN 363 .
