Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Introduction to representation theory of Lie groups and algebras; emphasis on geometric aspects of representation theory; deconstruction of examples and theorems of representation theory; analysis of central structure results such as the Harish-Chandra theorem and Weyl's character formula. Prerequisite: MATH 323 , MATH 415 , or approval of instructor.
