Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Introduction to coded communications and related number-theoretic foundations, including modular arithmetic, primality testing, factorization methods, public-key cryptosystems and digital signatures. Prerequisites: MATH 304 , MATH 309 , MATH 311 or MATH 323 ; CSCE 110 , CSCE 111 , CSCE 120 , CSCE 206 , ENGR 102 or ENGR 112 ; approval of instructor.
