Applications of actuarial science using mathematical and statistical methods to assess risk in the insurance and finance industries; emphasis on probability, statistics, finance and economics; focus on using probabilistic models in the estimation of insurance premiums. Prerequisite: MATH 411 or STAT 414 or approval of math advisor.
