Catalog description

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. (MATH 2315) Engineering Mathematics III. Vector algebra, calculus of functions of several variables, partial derivatives, directional derivatives, gradient, multiple integration, line and surface integrals, Green's and Stokes' theorems. MATH 221 designed to be a more demanding version of this course. Only one of the following will satisfy the requirements for a degree: MATH 221 , MATH 251 , or MATH 253 . Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in MATH 148 , MATH 152 , or MATH 172 ; also taught at Galveston campus.
