Credit 1. 1 Lecture Hour. Overview of different areas and topics of mathematics including logic, infinite sets, elements of topology, elements of history of mathematics; introduction to future courses in math degree plans and to some areas of research done by mathematics department faculty; topics may vary at the discretion of the instructor. Prerequisites: MATH and APMT majors; freshmen or sophomore classification; approval of instructor.
