Overview of the global ocean environment and the interrelated sub-disciplines; the important of the ocean for the earth’s ecosystems and human impact on the ocean; field work and boat trip, water and benthic sediment collection and analysis; navigation chart work. Prerequisite: OCNG 251 or concurrent enrollment.
