Credits 4. 3 Lecture Hours. 3 Lab Hours. An introduction to the basic concepts of cell biology. We will cover topics in cell physiology, the regulation of gene expression, protein structure and function, the role of mitochondria in health and disease, and other topics of relevance to cell biology. Prerequisites: MARB 215 or BIOL 112 ; CHEM 227 and CHEM 237 , or CHEM 257 .
