Catalog description

Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Fundamentals in digital privacy and ethical considerations for learning technology and performance system professionals. Introduction to three categories of digital privacy (e.g., information, communication and individual) and associated risk management practices in collection, transmission, retention and destruction of end user profile information. Other areas of exploration include best practices for profile anonymization for end users, as well as authentication and access restrictions based on internal roles, responsibilities and “need to know.” Case studies will be used to bring specific situational learning objectives to light. Prerequisites: Junior or senior classification.
