Catalog description

Credits 2 to 3. 2 to 3 Lecture Hours. Simulation of a hypothetical case from arrest through post-conviction remedies; prosecuting and defense attorney perspectives; topics may include legal limits on criminal investigation, the grand jury process, setting bail, negotiating pleas bargains, drafting pretrial motions, the discovery process, trial rights, and tactics, habeas corpus, and appeals. Prerequisite: One year of law school in the full-time or part-time program; LAW 7065 .
