Credits 2. 2 Lecture Hours. Introduction to comparative legal systems; surveys the two main legal families, civil and common law, and mixed legal systems; review of specific areas of the law from a comparative perspective namely at comparative judicial politics; recent developments in comparative law and economics; legal origins literature and the relationship between law and development. Prerequisite: One year of law school in the full-time or part-time program; LAW 7032 .
