Catalog description

Credits 2 to 3. 2 to 3 Lecture Hours. Study of the international fabric of patent, copyright, and trademark law under both domestic laws and international treaties; examination of the foundation of international intellectual property policies underlying medicinal herbs, counterfeit goods, genetic material, and traditional knowledge; examination of heightened tensions on international intellectual property law due to flow of information and content across borders; harmonizing diverse legal frameworks. Prerequisite: One year of law school in the full-time or part-time program; LAW 7203 , LAW 7350 , LAW 7452 , or LAW 7550 .
