Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Understanding the complexities of the healthcare compliance process from practical, business and legal perspectives; components of an effective compliance plan and program as well as the issues that arise in the implementation and administration of a compliance plan; discover the many roles the compliance staff fulfill in encouraging compliance with laws, regulations and ethical principles and gain familiarity with some of the more significant issues that arise when allegations of noncompliance come to the attention of the federal and state governments. Prerequisites: One year of law school in the full-time or part-time program.
