Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Study of legal problems related to the establishment, dissolution, reorganization, and evolving definitions of the family and family-like relationships in America; includes premarital arrangements, marriage (formal and informal), divorce, parent-child relationship, division of marital property, spousal and child support, domestic violence within the family, and same-sex unions. Prerequisite: One year of law school in the full-time or part-time program.
