Catalog description

Credits 2 to 3. 2 to 3 Lecture Hours. Presents a study of the international fabric of patent, copyright, and trademark law under both domestic laws and international treaties. Students will examine the foundation of international intellectual property policies underlying medicinal herbs, counterfeit goods, genetic material, and traditional knowledge; examines heightened tensions on international intellectual property law due to flow of information and content across borders; harmonizing diverse legal frameworks.
