Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Study of various approaches for dealing with adverse environmental effects, including private litigation, regulation, and financial incentives; survey of air and water pollution, solid and hazardous waste problems, and the National Environmental Policy Act; judicial review of legislative and administrative action; special problems raised by the U.S. federal form of government; administrative regulatory process in pollution control. Prerequisites: Graduate classification.
