Catalog description

Credits 3. 2 Lecture Hours. 2 Lab Hours. Overview of the human body systems. Interdisciplinary focus on wellness, exercise, nutrition, disease and drug use. Integrated kinesthetic lessons with physical activity and lab experiences that center on the scientific principles and application of conditioning. Through a variety of topics that relate to health, wellness and exercise, students will collect data, evaluate the information and formulate plans based on the findings. Application based experiences will be completed using a blend of equipment, software and technology to collect and evaluate data; also taught at Galveston campus.
