Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Exploration of the fundamentals of assessing and managing risks faced by organizational information systems. The course has two components: (1) understanding technical threats to these systems and learning about controls to minimize risks associated with those threats; and (2) learning to do qualitative and quantitative risks assessment of organizational information systems. Topics include cybersecurity risk assessment for IT/IS assets, analysis of network-based threats to IT/IS assets and implementation of access controls to protect IT/IS assets. Prerequisite: ISTM 610 .
