Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours. Overview of international law, how international law is formed, the extent to which it is based on the consent of states, questions about whether it is truly law, and the manner in and extent to which it is incorporated into the domestic legal systems of the United States and other countries; focuses on the ways in which international law shapes foreign relations, as well as the ways in which it constrains or enhances other foreign policy tools and strategies. Prerequisites: Graduate classification.
