Management of acute cardiac emergencies with emphasis on coronary care; reinforcement of skills in bedside evaluation and history taking of angina and clinical presentation of myocardial infarctions; familiarization with current techniques in management of acute myocardial infarction including the treatment of arrhythmias and congestive heart failure in the acute infarct setting; introduction to post myocardial infarction rehabilitation and education practices; and introduction to the care of postop CA bypass patients.
